The Pentateuch
Course Description: A course of study designed to cover the first five books of the Bible (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy). Emphasis will be placed on the basis message of each book and the scriptural proof of authorship.
Proverbs
Course Description: A study of Proverbs including the book’s writers, structure, purposes, literary types and significant topics.
Course Objectives:
1. We will learn what is and is not a proverb.
2. We will briefly study the various writers of Proverbs.
3. We will study the structure and arrangement of Proverbs.
4. We will study some of the literary devices used in Proverbs (types of parallelism; figures of speech).
5. We will seek to appreciate the value of repeated reading of Proverbs.
Textual Issues
Course Description: A course of study covering the inspiration, canonicity, transmission, and translation of the entire Bible. The reliability and authority of the Biblical records are investigated, defended, and substantiated in the light of the ancient authors, archeology, and historical facts.
